Wolverhampton's blue and white
commemorative plaques are almost entirely
the work of Rudi Herbert, under the aegis of
the
Wolverhampton Civic Society. The first plaque was erected in
 1983 and there are now more than 70 of them, commemorating
people, places and events of importance in the history of the City.   Details of the plaques are included here thanks to
