Listing: Locally listed in 2004. Large, detached villa of
c.1900. 'Free Style' with copper dome. Mullion and Transom glazing with Venetian
type treatment. Some windows altered. Architect unknown.
Comment: One of quite a lot of gentlemen's residences which
sprang up along the Tettenhall Road at the latter end of the 19th century.
There is now a fence halfway along the side garden separating the front and
rear. Presumably it is, or was, one house but the rear portion is so
different, it might not have been. But then, that's free style for you -
it can be puzzling if you do more picking than mixing.
