Sunbeam

Sunbeam's first commercial vehicles were ambulances which were produced during the first world war.

In 1928 Hugh Rose designed a 4 wheeled chassis with a 6.6litre, 6 cylinder engine, and a 6 wheeled chassis, with an 8litre, 6 cylinder engine. They were primarily designed for bus use but a number of lorries were built around them.

In the 1930s Sunbeam produced electric milk floats, like the one in the advert opposite. The advert is from the Co-operative Productive Review.

The milk floats and the other commercial vehicles were built at Moorfield Works.
